Why Join?

The Stevenage Lytton Players specialise in both musical theatre and drama productions, achieving very high standards in both areas. They also boast an extremely strong and active section The Lytton Youth Theatre, which caters for two younger age groups comprising 6 to 10 and 11 to 18 years old. In addition there are ample opportunities for members and friends to participate in the Players' activities in an 'offstage' role, be it backstage, social, or helping with the administration of the Players' affairs.

Currently we present eight to ten productions a year ranging from large productions at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage to small studio productions in our own Lytton Theatre on Vardon Road. We are truly a community group participating in local community projects such as 'Shakespeare In The Garden' - a joint venture with The Stevenage Museum where the Lytton Players present excerpts from Shakespeare plays in the Stevenage Museum Garden. We have also entered into partnerships with local schools and will often present plays being studied by our younger audience members.
